Foundations in Fujairah

1952, East-coast road alignment, Fujairah, United Arab Emirates: Black-and-white photograph of Emirati surveyors reading a brass theodolite on the Fujairah east-coast road alignment in 1952, with the Hajar mountains and the Gulf of Oman behind them. — Avanti Holding, Foundations in Fujairah.
On the rock shoulder between the Hajar mountains and the Gulf of Oman, the founder and two young engineers set out the alignment of a new coastal road through Fujairah. Levels are read off a brass theodolite, sections are drawn by hand on linen paper, and the chainage is pegged before the day's heat — the method the group still applies to every site it opens.

The family's engineering legacy begins in Fujairah with survey and master planning work on the east-coast road and early national infrastructure — the discipline that still defines how the group builds today.
